World Record Plank – I bet its Longer than you think!
Why is there even a record for this?, and why should I do it?
Well doing the plank is a great way to strengthen your core muscles and protect your spine in times of stress, and helps to keep you in correct posture.
How do you do it?
Well basically its like a push up position but on your elbows.
If that is too hard, try using your knees instead of your feet on the floor.
Look straight down at the floor, not your feet, and not ahead of you.
To make it slightly easier, try sticking your bum slightly up in the air. (This is improper technique but will help get you started.)
Aim to hold it for about a minute without stopping, keep breathing deep, and focus on technique.
Repeat 3 times daily. This is a good base measure for developing , and maintaining core strength.
Sorry… the record?
