Why are there so many types of over the counter pain medications?

I’m sure you all have wondered what the difference is between certain ‘brand’ pain medications when they specify that it is for “period pain” or “back and neck pain” or “headache”

Well, all the products active ingredients are all the same, which means they all effect you body the same way, regardless of what is marketed on the box.

A ‘Chemist brand’ or no-name medication has the same ingredients as the big brand name ones, which means they work the same way! Great marketing is all it is!
Paracetamol – decreases your brains ability to feel pain.
Codeine – decreases your body’s ability to feel pain.
Diclofenac – is an anti inflammatory and pain medication.

Make sure you listen to your doctors and chemists recommendations and do not exceed the usage specified on the product box.

Long term, or excessive use of these medications can increase the risk of Cardiac, Gastrointestinal, Liver and Kidney problems.

Consider that you may be able to manage, and get rid of your pain through Doing some regular exercise, Eating properly, Sleeping well and managing your Stress levels.

Your body has an amazing ability to be able to heal itself, when you put yourself under the right environment.
If you are not becoming healthier, than you must be becoming unhealthier, so address what it is that is causing your pain and get rid of it, so your body can heal itself and you can move towards becoming healthier.
