Why should I exercise?

We all know that we should exercise to stay healthy,
but what can I do, and how can it help?

There has been soooooooo much research done on the benefits of exercise, so here is a short list of the researched, proven and absolutely true benefits of regular exercise.

 

  • Prevent up to 91% of cases of obesity and Type 2 diabetes
  • Prevent up to 50% of all cases of heart disease
  • Prevent osteoporosis, and aid in new bone formation
  • Reduce the risk of stroke by 25-30%
  • Decrease stress hormone levels in the blood
  • Decrease depression by 20%
  • Normalise blood pressure and reduce the risk of developing high blood pressure
  • Reduce the risk of breast cancer by 60%
  • Restore and maintain normal cholesterol levels
  • Increase strength, stability and balance
  • Improve digestion
  • Improve immune system function
  • Increase learning by 12 times
  • Improve quality of sleep
  • Increase the level of growth and healing hormones
